Why Hydroseed?

Hydroseeding is a process that was first invented in 1953 in Ohio to efficiently apply seed, fertilizer and mulch over a broad area. It was also proven very effective in controlling erosion on mine tailings. There are 5 basic contents that are combined in a standard “mix” of a hydroseeder.

Coverage: Hydroseeding creates an evenly covered area that forms a crust to hold the seed in place and retain water fertilizer. The result is a full, lush lawn. Hydroseeding is very effective for homes and residential uses.

Health: Hydroseeded grass starts out in the soil you place it in, it is not subjected to transplant shock that can occur when your soil is different from the original soil.

Speed: An area that has been hydroseeded will start to grow within 7 days. Full effects should be seen by week 3 or 4

Cost: Hydroseeding SAVES YOU MONEY! And it typically costs 35% less than the price of sod.
